Meet the Designer: Viv & Olive PLUS What's Going on This Week at BE?

Boutiques Exclusive is a group of around thirty clothing and accessory designers with a few things in common: we are all women-owned small businesses who are dedicated to bringing amazing handmade items into the market place. We have joined forces in an effort to get our work recognized by a wider audience than one small business alone can reach. We have an active Facebook page and group with other social media presence on Instagram and occasionally Twitter and Pinterest too, so wherever you hang out, you will likely be able to find us!
Let's meet one of our designers!

Viv & Olive
Jodi is the woman behind Viv & Olive a brand of fun and colorful chunky and dainty bubblegum bead necklaces, bracelets, key chains, purse charms/backpack bling and rear view mirror charms! All of her designs are whimsical and Jodi agonizes over the millions of bead and bling choices at her disposal to create jewelry and accessories that both kids and parents adore!
Viv & Olive has been around since August 2013 although it was originally named W(e)il'd Hair & Accessories which is a play on Jodi's last name, Weil. Unfortunately, this play on words was often lost in translation, or rather pronunciation! Since most people didn't know the correct pronunciation of Weil (it is pronounced like "while") they didn't make the connection that the business name was "wild". To avoid the elaborate explanations and make things more simple, Jodi eventually rebranded her shop name to Viv & Olive after her children!
She loves being part of the handmade community and she says the best part of being an online business is "connecting with others and getting to see them enjoy the pretties that I have made!  Finding friends throughout the country who I probably never would have met if it weren't for the online handmade community".


Jodi joined the BE team in mid 2017 when we rebranded. She says that "It's important to work collaboratively with other designers. It gives me a sense of community in the crafting world and I enjoy building up others and the inspiration that I receive from their creativity!" Jodi brings a lot of enthusiasm and energy to the team and we are glad to have her onboard!

Interesting Fact
She loves making her signature chunky bubblegum necklaces and she's very good at it, so we don't want her to stop making them, but Jodi's "dream craft project" would be beautiful button art with colorful buttons and crystals.

What's Going On at Boutiques Exclusive?

There's always something going on at Boutiques Exclusive and this week is no exception! Wednesdays during October we're hosting WICKED WEDNESDAY...these are fast paced auctions during a very short window of time with some awesome designs offered with super low starting bids.

We are also now doing themed auctions every weekend in our Facebook group with this weekend's theme being "Designer's Choice". Don't miss this one because our design team always come up with some stunning seasonal offerings for these!



On top of all of this, we have a MULTI VENDOR GIVEAWAY in progress with FOURTEEN chances to win prizes including shop credit and items donated by our design team! Winners will be drawn on October 22, 2017 so head to our Facebook group right now to get in on the prize action.

Big News!

The weather has been changing and temps are getting a little cooler so we decided to heat things up a little with some more sales!  We always have people saying they missed out on a sale so now we are bringing more opportunities for you to shop with us every week. Beginning this Today, October 6th, we are having a Designers Choice Auction !  Yay!  It will feature some great designs that our designers think you will love.  Fall items and even some Halloween will be available in case you haven't gotten everything you need this season.  Join us at 6pm EDT in our FB group .   Inspired Flair The auction will have BIN (buy it now) options so if you want to purchase your item right away you may, and it also helps if you just can't watch the bidding at the end of the auction.  All bidding will end on Sunday, October 8th at 10pm EDT.  We will continue to have our themed auctions every other weekend but will have the Designers Choice Auction in between the themed weekends.
